If you have gotten anything out of this blog about me you know that I love music, my major, my family, and I am a very loyal member to Tau Beta Sigma. Today I was able to facebook chat with with a Sigma from my sorority that graduated in 1998. Apparently she used to babysit me when I was younger and she was in my dad's youth group back in 1994.
I have fallen in love with this sorority and my dad told me that he knew someone who was in my chapter years ago, who was actually president. I friended her on facebook told and have been talking about TBS. She is so passionate about it and what we stand for. It makes me wonder am I going to feel that way 15 years from now? Will I still have the connections I have made with these wonderful people?
She was telling me about all the traditions she helped start and traditions that were just starting. It is amazing how much this chapter has grown. Even though we don't seem like two people on facebook that shouldn't have a special connection we do. Even though we were involved in TBS at different times, we both know everything about it. We have different memories, different families but we both are sisters.
I don't know why it amazes me so much but I find it so cool especially when she was talking about small things she started in the chapter that became a major ritual today. Wow. And she didn't even know until I told her. 12 years later. I know I have a while here, but I pray I can look back on this chapter one day and see that I made a difference because they have done so much for me already.
